Hereby an impression of our organic VIP Breakfast that we organized in our Berlin showroom last Friday. It was very succesfull! We thank everybody who joined our Green Spring 2012 presentation and Cookies Cream for their delicious organic bites.

During the Arnhem Mode Biennale fashion curator Carlo Wijnands shows an installation, Duologue, with recycled materials to show the power of mass consumption. The installations show upcoming (product) designers like Helen bullock, Elsien Gringhuis (winner of the Green Fashion Competion) and Sjoerd Vroonland in a mix of daily use products. The fourth edition of Arnhem Mode Biennale is named Amber and from 1 June until 3 July AMB are in search of her true identity. Hosted in an old industrial plant, the main exhibition will focus on fashion’s aura through the vision of international designers such as Prada, Maison Martin Margiela, Rodarte, A.F. For the Amnesty International campaign "The Empty Chair", Dutch designer Maarten Baas made the symbolic empty chair to support Amnesty in their fight for freedom of expression. Dr. Liu Xiaobo was convicted for his role in drafting "Charter 08", a proposal for legal and political reform in China. Liu Xiaobo was the 2010 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate but during the cermony his chair remained empty as he was sentenced to a 11 years imprisonment. "The empty chair" is a symbol for Liu and many others who're in jail for expressing their opinion.
The chair will be presented during the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International tomorrow in Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam.
