No this is not about a falsely accused giant with magic powers...
This is about two dutch guys who started a great project to save the world's climate. They called their project The Green Miles.
The Green Miles was started to create awareness among the general public for the problems of our oceans.
Â

Â
In addition, The Green Miles wants to inspire people the world and the oceans in a green way.
The crew of The Green Miles will therefore sail around the world on a limited budget and as sustainable as possible over a period of almost two years.
During the journey, attention will be generated for a sustainable water world using various media in an adventurous way.

It's a fact that Kuyichi is style_ conscious.
Here at the Kuyichi office we try to expand our consciousness in every possible way.
We always keep our eyes open for alternatives to office working tools.
Our latest favorites:

The prints we make for our 'daily use' not only use paper, but also ink. According to SPRANQ creative communications (Utrecht, The Netherlands) your ink cartridges (or ink toner) could last longer.
SPRANQ has therefore developed a new font: the Ecofont.
In the header of text you can see how the Ecofont is created by leaving small dots out of the letter. At the shown size, this obviously is not very nice, but since this whole blog is written in Ecofont in a regular size, it’s fair to say it looks more than fine.
Appealing ideas are often simple: how much of a letter can be removed while maintaining readability? After extensive testing with all kinds of shapes, the best results were achieved using small circles. This resulted in a font that uses up to 20% less ink. Free to download, free to use.

Everybody googles....a lot.
Googling is even an official verb these days.
Worldwide Google gets about 200 million queries a day.
Let's assume each query is displayed for about 10 seconds; that means Google is running for about 550,000 hours every day.
All white screen pages (like the google page) use about 74 watt to display, while an all black page uses only 59 watt. That means when we shift to using a black page while googling, we save 3000 megawatt hours a year.
And that's just why we, at the Kuyichi office love, Blackle the google energy saving alternative.
We believe that there is value in the concept because even if the energy savings are small, they all add up. Secondly, we feel that seeing Blackle every time we load our web browser reminds us that we need to keep taking small steps to save energy.

Due to our involvement with Peru, Kuyichi was very shocked when hearing the news of the earthquake.
Immediate action was taken. The complete staff at Kuyichi searched their homes for useful goods like tents, blankets, clothing etc.
According to our contacts in Peru, that’s what they needed the most. Friends, family, neighbours….everbody contributed to this good cause. With all the money that was raised we bought extra tents and blankets. We hope the stricken people in Peru will soon be able to rebuild their lives…
