"It was my first time to Saint Tropez and I don't think I will forget it any time soon. The story for an editorial we were shooting was set in a burlesque club, on the beach. Think Moulin Rouge on the sea. Dark eyeshadow, weird suits, strange positions, on a stage where normally the almost naked girls dance. After a few hours, they needed to change some lights, so that gave me a break to get out of the strange circumstances, and have a moment on the beach. Aaah the fresh air. The beauty of the sea. The soft sand. The barenaked asses. Excuse me?
One thing no one told me was that the beach in front of the club is a nude beach. So there I stood, in a full suit, high hat, mascara on, surrounded by at least seven very naked people. I looked at them with big surprise and wonder, until I realized they were looking at me the same way. That I was actually the odd one out, not them. I figured it was time to go back to the safety of the burlesque club.
The rest of the day passed without further embarrassment, and before going to the airport, the driver and I stopped for a quick bite to eat in Cannes. Walking in in bare feet, I was quickly told that shoes were required to eat a sandwich. So there you have it, in one day I managed to underdress at a restaurant, and overdress on a nude beach. Another day at the office".
