Hereby our first highlight of the Peru trip that our Dutch fans can win! The winners will stay at a colonial style guesthouse named Mami Panchita, run by a Dutch-Peruvian couple, in the quiet neighbourhood of San Miguel! First highlight will be Pachacamac. This is a real archaeological enclosure whose constructions conserve the mysticism and religiosity of their past. When traveling this sanctuary, where hundreds of years ago the natives surrendered cult to the sun and to the Earth, one can feel the magic attraction of a place that will always be sacred.

Earth Day, celebrated in the US on April 22, is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. It was founded by U.S. Senator Gaylord Nelson (D-Wisconsin) as an environmental teach-in in 1970 and is celebrated in many countries every year. Actor Leonardo DiCaprio is pretty public about commitment to eco-friendly initiatives and made a documentary about the environment called "The 11th Hour". This movie concerns the environmental crises caused by human actions and shows the last moment when change is possible. The film explores how we’ve arrived at this moment -- how we live, how we impact the earth’s ecosystems, and what we can do to change our course. A must see!
